- The midi part of abc4mac is as good as any other abc2midi clone, but the sheet music part is based on an old version of abc2ps and beginning to show its age. It still produces decent quality output but doesn't support a number of recent ABC features.
If you use OS X, you can run abcm2ps directly (from the cli interface) and that's a much better solution.
On a classic Mac OS, abctab2ps has everything abc4mac has to offer in terms of notation and much more.
